I love the cabin. What a beautiful place Maine is. Here in Utah, we have a family cabin up in the mountains that everyone loves to go and stay at. This reminds me that when I get busier, it is so important to get away and breathe so that I can continue doing what I love without burnout.

Caitlin, you have not addressed the third leg of the manufacture's stool: Cost of Goods+Labor+OVERHEAD. Overhead includes rent/mortgage, utilities, telephone, taxes & licenses, accounting/legal, machinery cost, office supplies, packing and shipping supplies and equipment, vehicle, freight in. And MANY others. A rough rule of thumb is to add all these costs up, and divide by 24. That is how much it cost per hour to "keep the lights on." It doesn't matter if you only work a twelve hour day, most of those costs are there, even if you are not producing product.

When doing wholesale do you have to set up state paperwork and not charging the tax to the customer- I’d love yo go wholesale but concerned about this aspect of the business

I feel there's not much out there who talks about this area of business, and yet it's so important because it's what the customers (whether retail or wholesale) see first. Its not you, major corporations that have been in business for decades are shutting down, its the economy. I am use to buying what I want but lately I have been having to watch what I spend. Things have gone up in price so much its wrong. I love your products especially your bars of soaps. Looking forward to more scents coming back to the bar soaps. ❤

Hi Caitlin! You said that Shopify stores will pull images and descriptions. Does that mean customers on Faire can use the Faire seller’s images in their own Shopify shops? Or does that violate image copyright? I hope that question makes sense. I’m totally new to this

Hi Caitlin! It's Vanessa again! Loooove this video, I've never really understood or seen how soap bars are made and this video showed me the process! So cool!!! I love the color variations you mix together to form a beautiful aesthetic bar soap, lot's of work but it pays off! Question to help all of the newbies out there! When starting a small business do you recommend reaching out to prospective stockists/retailers first or order the inventory and then reach out to them to have the physical product? I ask this because I'm scared of ordering a huge inventory order for it to be sitting in my garage and not have the retailers even be aware of my product. Of course, I will be pitching right away but is it still enough to guarantee selling 10,000 + units (which is MOQ for some suppliers) within 6-12 months? How did you go about it? :)

Your videos are always so wonderful. I just clicked on the link to go to the Flipsnack website. Their landing page does not accept Gmail addresses? What I mean by that is you need to fill out your information before even being able to proceed to the interior of the website. I don’t have any other emails other than Gmail. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also just to make sure I wasn’t seeing things, I tried again before sending this message. Seems like they will lose a lot of customers that way.
